Fulton County trapping We specialize in bat colony extraction, removing 100% of the bats without harming a single one. Despite the work being complex, it is a field of expertise for our technicians. Bats can squeeze through very small holes and gaps and usually enter via the most difficult to reach upper peaks of your roof. Most bats in the US are protected by law. Therefore, doing a bat job correctly and legally requires a live exclusion of the bats. Every last entry gap and hole must be found and sealed, while leaving some primary exit points open with the proper exclusion netting or devices appropriate to the architecture. The bats exit the house at night, through one-way devices, and cannot get back in. Attic cleaning is often recommended in the case of bat infestation. Bats like to live in a hot, dry place which is high enough off the ground to allow for flight clearance, and be safe from predators. They leave their droppings, known as guano, behind and since they stay in the same roost for years, thus letting their waste accumulate. There are many considerations we take during bat exclusion such as: The bat species in order to know the techniques that will be most effective, the architecture around the entry/exit hole so as to determine the devices used, size of the colony, number of entry points, the weather, and time of the year- no exclusions can be made during maternity season when the colony is full of flightless baby bats.

Understanding Snake Venom and How it Works

Many don’t know how snake venom acts when in the circulatory system after a bite. All you need to know is in this read. Before we go ahead, it’s noteworthy that not all snakes have venom that can cause fatality. But for your information, there’s a ton of snakes with poison in their saliva to cause infections, movement difficulty, and death. Venom in snakes is found in their salivary glands, and is produced with a high amount of protein. Apart from proteins, venom contains a host of substances which increase its deadly nature.

When a snake bites on a human/animal, it releases this venom directly into the victim’s blood stream. With the poison released, the process commences in the blood by first damaging the cohesive nature of blood cells. Apart from damaging the blood cells, nerve endings become numbed after a snake bite. Snake venom results in internal bleeding, temporary paralysis, and finally, fatality.

To give a better understanding, let’s see the main types of snake venom right now;

Neurotoxins: These are substances mess up the victim’s nervous system. With the nervous system of the victim damaged, movement and motor response become rather difficult. From these symptoms, paralysis sets in, before the victim gives up the ghost.

Cyto-toxins: This venom focuses on damaging the entire cell build-up of the bite victim. There’s a host of toxins responsible for damaging cells in the body and here’s some of them;

  • Cardio-toxins (heart cell damage)
  • Nephro-toxins (kidney cell damage)
  • Myto-toxins (Muscle cell damage)

Hemo-toxins: This venom makes blood coagulation rather tricky and causes the clogging of platelets and red blood cells. Others are notorious for restricting blood clotting, which causes the victim to bleed to death.
